Friend Problems

I need some advice. I have been best friends with the same person for 6 and 1/2 years. Recently she got a new friend who is, quite frankly, a bitch. She constantly spreads rumors that she knows aren't true, talks horribly about her "friends", and orders people around. To be honest she's kinda like a goth version of Natalie from the Bad Girls' Club and she hates my guts. XD Anyway, my best friend thinks that this girl is the best thing since sliced bread. Every time she stays over at my place, all she ever does is text this chick. Actually she's here now and has been texting her for the past 6 hours. It's not that I'm jealous or anything, but she has said maybe three sentences since she's been here. I really need advice. I don't want to lose my best friend but I can't force her to push the other girl away either.
